Among all the many reasons I have to give thanks today, I'm counting these lovely gifts I received this week from Angela Nickerson as winner of her October 29 blogapalooza. Angela is author of A Journey into Michelangelo's Rome and publisher of the travel blog Just Go!
Besides Angela's book, which is inspiring me to consider a quick trip to Rome at the end of my upcoming stay in Paris, the bounty includes a lovely travel book in the same ArtPlace series, A Journey into Ireland's Literary Revival by R. Todd Felton. Ireland is another top entry on my list of places to visit very soon. I've been there a few times but only to the Shannon Airport on my way somewhere else.
I'll be able to put the included travel accessories to the test immediately.
The Tote-All Bag, an origiinal creation by Tricia Paul, is going into my purse before I next leave the house. The Tote-All Bag holds all the little essentials that need to move from pocketbook to shopping tote to evening bag and even has a sturdy clip for keys to keep them from disappearing into the depths of unstructured handbags.
Available directly from the designer at thetoteallbag.com, this clever item comes in two sizes and numerous coordinating fabric patterns. Mine is a small bag, 4.5" x 6.5" x 2.25" with four interior pockets, in the Pink Hawaiian print combination. The large bag, big enough to be used on its own, measures 9" x 9" x 2.5" and has nine pockets.
The purple purple passport case by Hayden-Harnett of Brooklyn, NY, will come in very handy on my next international journey, a four-week solo trip ito Paris that's coming up in just a couple of weeks. Very well constructed of soft, supple leather, the case has more interior slots and sections than any similar sized folders I've seen or used previously.
Thanks again to Angela for all this lovely loot and for hosting the Blogapalooza!
