Catchy cliches may not make the best blog post titles, but hey! I'm blogging again. My self-imposed quiet period has expired with the high school graduation 2 weeks ago of my daughter Sara. Now I'm looking forward to some s-l-o-w travel focused (pun intended) on improving my photography skills.
In a couple of days, I'm heading to Nashville in artsy Brown County, Indiana, to stay at Abe Martin Lodge, where I'll be studying with famed photographer Joyce Wilson at the Winona School.
In July, I'm signed on to learn more from Michael Barton of Indigo Photographic. Michael's studio is only 3 minutes by car from where I'm sitting on my own couch, so it's a bit ironic to be traveling to Geneva, New York, to hang out with him. However, I'm certain the surroundings in upstate New York will be conducive to learning, as we'll be based on the shore of Seneca Lake, staying on the campus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
I'd love to hear your suggestions for the most photogenic sites (and sights) near my destinations. I'm driving to Brown County, flying into Buffalo and driving to Geneva, New York, from there.
And please look forward to more frequent updates here and on my photography site.
